The JUST BANKS remix is a solid hybrid of a Breaks and House tune where the deep vibe and slightly dark mood of the instrumental corresponds well with the lyrics performed by THE BLAKTRONIKS.

The Austrian musician and multi-talent Just Banks demonstrates his remarkable versatility in debut album “Under the Influence”: Hip-Hop, funk, jazz, breaks and a pinch of minimal house come together here in flowing and coherent whole. The musical frankness of the tunes is continued when various guest artists are invited to contribute vocals, solos or phrases.

This is an album that also reflects the development and background of a musician who started his career in the mid nineties and who has never been prepared to nail himself down to any one single genre since then. “Under the Influence” refers to all that wide range of contemporary musical genres Just Banks has opened himself to, explored, fallen in love with.

He spices a relaxed stew of downbeat, midtempo breaks and solid electronica on “Under the Influence” with vocals from the Blaktroniks, BluRum13 (as known from Dj Vadim & Ninjatune), Coppa, Kristina Lindberg (Laine), Veda36 and others.

In 2006 Just Banks engaged the talents of the Bay Area-based collective Blaktroniks, who came up with the catchy vocals for his first release entitled “360 Degrees”.

“Under The Influence” is now his first full-length album and it also includes the title track of his most successful EP to date “Bust A Move”.

Unlike Just Banks´ last release 360 Degrees feat. Blaktroniks, it´s strictly uptempo this time.

The A-side “The Meltdown” is a bassheavy breakbeat stomper with some surprising slap bass/acid twist midsection action.

The title track “Bust A Move” (B1), a funky uptempo breaker, comes fully equipped with a catchy bassline, mind-blowing horn riffs (sax by Markus Ecklmayr from Parov Stelar´s band) and most importantly: the wicked vocals of K-Sun aka MC Kemo.

Recently Kemo stirred up the scene with his release “Global Enemies” on Marcus Intalex´ Soul:R label – a collaboration with Lynx. Here he teams up with his Austrian friend on a not so serious vibe. When Just Banks gets funky and cool, K-Sun gets funky and hot.

On B2 no other than Germany´s breaks wonder Boogie Army remixed “Bust A Move” and turned it into a killer electro breakbeat anthem with plenty of vocoder action in full effect!

All three tracks are pure and uplifting party tunes with peaktime qualities.

360 Degrees is the 12″ debut of artist Just Banks, who engaged the talents of the Bay Area-based collective Blaktroniks that came up with their catchy trademark vocals featured on this stunning release.

The title track comes in three different flavours:

Makossa & Megablast, who´s debut 12″ on G-Stone Recordings “Like a Rocket / Kunuaka” was a massive hit, reinterpreted 360 Degrees and created a dirty pumping groover that will guarantee massive croud participation.

The original version is a bass heavy downbeat stomper with smooth rap vocals and a killer hook. This tune shows distinct tendencies towards becoming a timeless headknock anthem.

Last in the round is the atmospheric remix by the Wolf Myer Orchestra, creating a more calm and elusive vibe for rather introspective moments.
