Recently seen online - “Louie Austen, living legend”. Yes it is rather rare nowadays to be labelled a legend when you`re still alive & aren´t pushing up daisies at all. But Louie´s always been an exception with his charm, kingpin voice & eloquence – the man´s a walking dictionary of 50ies showbiz expressions! This is what is usually called an entertainer but Louie has taken that label one step further & sort of developed the high art of electrotainment.

Last summer Louie released his “Too Good To Last” coop with Commercial Breakup & now finally the awaited follow-up`s here - the “MyAmy EP”, feat. 2 new tracks & 3 remixes. “Flying Away” has Louie resigned in world-weariness just wanting to get away. The title track is a homage & love declaration to Louie´s self-proclaimed `princess of sleaze` Amy Winehouse with the rèsumè that `Rehab´s for shitters`. Wait till Blake hears this.

On to the variations: While Mike Rigler adds a little pumping technoid House extravaganza to “Flying Away” at his remixer desk, The Bombjack are crowning “MyAmy” by dictating a whole Groove/Jazz/Funk orchestra. Just Banks is keeping it real and takes “Flying Away” literally by turning it into a smooth airy Minimal-Tech-House number. Right on, right on.
